Here at Flynn&King, it's clear we love creating and promoting green beauty and a non-toxic lifestyle, but are also very passionate about helping our community in need. With our DO GOOD COLLABS, we donate funds and products to local charities and business who do good. We wanted to create a blog dedicated to featuring other women who inspire us with their charitable and health conscious actions. They fall in line with Flynn&King's motto to DO GOOD. LOOK GREAT. and we're happy to give a shoutout to some of our favorite lady bosses!
First up, is Lorraine Kearney, founder of Lorraine Kearney Nutrition, http://www.lorrainekearneynutrition.com originally from Galway, Ireland. Lorraine is a passionate nutritionist located in New York City. Over the past decade she has worked diligently to follow her dreams in the food and health industry while also giving back to the community. By volunteering her time and expertise at various charities such as, The Wounded Warrior Project, God's Love We Deliver, The Food Bank of New York, The Children's Storefront and March Nutrition Month, Lorraine has improved the quality of life for many of those she has worked with. She's an active member of The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, as well as the New York Road Runner's. In 2011 she completed her first marathon and beat her goal time of completion in under 4 hours, of which she credits proper nutrition that led to her exceeding her goal. Today, Lorraine works with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in the of Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention and Tobacco Control - helping underserved communities by providing workshops to help people reach their nutrition goals.
